Breaking the chains

Some people have a perception that writers are higher beings, and that inspiration flows into their heads from wherever inspiration comes from. I wish that was so. We’re just totally normal people, trying to make a living out of our hobbies. More often than not, we need normal jobs to begin with. Now, I don’t have a job, as I’m not exactly needing one at the moment, but I do have my own petty problems. Lately, I’ve been realizing how much valuable writing time I’ve been wasting by sleeping in. Mornings are the best time to write since everyone’s still asleep (in this household anyway) so it’s utterly silent, and there’s nothing to disturb me. So today, I started a new regime, as suggested by this article: http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2005/05/how-to-become-an-early-riser

It’s going to be hard for the first few days but I know I won’t regret it if I succeed.

I'm an unpublished writer, who, so far, has not met any success apart from on Fanfiction.net. Currently working on my first novel. I've been saying this for the past ten years. With different novels. I think you can put together the story. I'm prone to ranting, getting too involved in things that I shouldn't be involved about, and I'm trying *really* hard to be rational. I don't always succeed.
